At White Pines Collegiate, the Wolverines hosted the Korah Colts in Sault Ste. Marie High School Boys Basketball regular season action on Monday, December 8th, with both junior and senior matchups showcasing strong performances on both sides of the court.
In the junior game, the Korah Colts came out firing, defeating the White Pines Wolverines 63–43. Korah’s offense was led by a pair of standout performances as Alex Farrell dropped 22 points while Paxton Brodie added 21. Nolan Coudert contributed 9 in the win. For White Pines, Christian Budd paced the Wolverines with 14 points, while Aiden DaCosta and Landen Roussain-Davison each chipped in with 8.
The senior matchup saw a different outcome as the Wolverines battled to a hard-earned 54–50 victory over the Colts. White Pines was powered by Anthony Hunt’s 18-point outing, supported by strong efforts from Garrin Pine with 15 points and Ethan McCorkell with 10.
Korah’s offense stayed competitive with Tristan Cote scoring 16, Yehya Abbasy adding 15, and Colton Jones contributing 14 in a tightly contested finish.

Looking ahead, the White Pines Wolverines will return to action on Tuesday, December 16th, when they travel to Superior Heights to meet the Steelhawks. Meanwhile, the Korah Colts will head to St. Mary’s College for a matchup against the Knights. Junior tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the senior game at 7:00 p.m.
