On Friday, April 21st in the third round of the 2023 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection Draft, Soo U18 Greyhound forward Hudson Chitaroni was chosen with the 48th overall pick in the 2023 draft.

The 5’10″ and 167 lbs Sault Ste Marie native scored 22 goals and contributed on 26 goals during the 2023 GNU18HL regular season while accumulating 18 minutes in penalites. In five postseason matchups in 2023, the U18 Greyhounds scored six goals and assisted on eight more to add to his season totals for the 2023 season. At the 2023 OHL Cup, Chitaroni sank one goal in four games with Team NOHA. Chitaroni dressed for one regular season game with the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL during the 2023 season.

Chitaroni’s Soo U128 Greyhound coach Jamir Henderson told Saultsports that “we are so happy for Hudson and his family he is such a dedicated and committed player who is very driven to excel at the next level. We can’t wait to see him continue his career at the next level.”
