Women’s coach Katie Hamilton told Saultsports that “I felt this weekend was a very positive one for our team. We played 6 out of 8 great quarters against two of the countries best teams. The girls really stuck with the game plan, executed things as we wanted/prepped for and battled hard. We always want to come out with wins, but I think they proved a lot to themselves being able to match up with teams of that calibre. They’ve really been putting in the work needed to excel at this level and I’m really happy for them that it’s starting to show and reflect with how they are playing. We are looking forward to this weekends games versus York and Brock and are really hoping to build on the momentum we have going here. It’s going to take a total team effort to get the job done, and we are hopeful for another good weekend.”

Looking Ahead: Catch the Thunderbirds Homecoming games on November 23rd versus York Lions at 1:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m followed by our Movember game versus Brock Badgers on November 24th at 1:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m!
