Toronto, Ontario’s Joshua Bondoc Commits to OUA Algoma Thunderbirds

Algoma University Varsity Athletics is excited to announce that Joshua Bondoc has committed to the Thunderbird Men’s Soccer program for the 2022 – 2023 season.

Joshua is from Toronto, Ontario and plays for the Vaughan Soccer Club. He is goalkeeper who has played competitive soccer for 14 years since the age of 8. Joshua attends the Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School.

Joshua will be studying in the four year Biology program at Algoma U.

Head Coach of Thunderbird Men’s Soccer Sam Medaglia stated: “I would like to welcome Joshua to our squad for 2022 23 season. Joshua stands six feet tall and weighs 200 lbs. He will bring us a physical presence in the GK position. He is a very good goalkeeper with incredible distribution skills. He will be a great addition to Algoma University Mens Soccer Program.”

Joshua says ” I am very excited and proud to announce that I have committed to join the Algoma Thunderbirds for the upcoming 2022/2023 season. I chose Algoma University because I believe that it will provide me with the proper environment and opportunities to improve and contribute as a player. I also plan on pursuing a biology degree during my time at Algoma. I believe the intimate class sizes, state-of-the art teaching and research laboratories and the various co-op placements will contribute to my academic goals.”
