Night two of week two of the 2025 Sault Ste. Marie Boys High School Volleyball season brought strong matchups on Thursday, October 1st with action taking place at both Korah Collegiate and White Pines. The Superior Heights Steelhawks traveled west to take on the Colts, while the St. Mary’s Knights hit the road east to face the Wolverines.
At Korah, the Colts came out strong and never looked back, sweeping the Steelhawks in straight sets (25-21, 25-14, 25-23). With a steady attack and sharp defensive play, Korah controlled the match from start to finish, improving their early-season form.
Over at White Pines, the Wolverines hosted a thrilling four-set battle against St. Mary’s. After dropping the opening set 22-25, White Pines rallied back to win three straight in tightly contested frames, taking the match 3-1 with scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 26-24. The win gave the Wolverines a big boost in the standings while handing the Knights a tough road loss.
Next up in boys’ high school volleyball action will be on Monday, October 6th, as the Superior Heights Steelhawks host the White Pines Wolverines, and the Notre Dame Voyageurs welcome the Korah Colts. Both matches are set for 7:00 p.m.
