On Saturday, July 2nd in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, the six place Sault Steelers took to Rocky PiDietro Field for their fourth game of the 2022 season when they hosted the first place GTA All-Stars in Northern Football Conference action.

At 6:16 of the second quarter, GTA’s Ovi Coca finds the uprights for an All-Star 17 yard field goal to give the visitors a 3 – 0 lead. With 19.3 seconds remaining in the first half, the Steelers earn two points for a Sault safety to pull the Steelers within one to send the hosts into half down 3 – 2. At the start of the third quarter Ovi Coca picks the ball through the Steelers end zone to bring GTA’s lead to 4 – 2. With time ticking down and only sixty seconds in the July 2nd contest, Justin Oag picks up a Steeler Alonzo Clark fumble at the 51 yard line to run the ball for a 51 yard All-Star touchdown to increase the lead to 10 – 2. Coca kicked the convert to give GTA a 11 – 2 win over the Sault.

After a July 9th bye week for the Sault, the Steelers head to Toronto on July 16th for a matchup against the Toronto Raiders at Esther Shiner Civic Stadium in a 7:00 p.m kickoff.
