Over the Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 junior and senior girls high school basketball programs converged on Sault Ste Marie, Ontario for a chance to be hoisted their respective 2022 NOSSA Championship trophy.
With a junior St Mary’s Knights 47 – 43 win over the LoEllen Knights, the Knights were crowned the 2022 NOSSA Junior champions while the senior St Mary’s Knights fell 53 – 47 to the LoEllen Knights in senior final on Saturday. LoEllen will represent the north when the Knights participate in the 2022 ‘AA’ OFSAA Championship in Stratford, Ontario while the St. Mary’s Knights will participate in the AAA OFSAA Championship in Windsor, Ontario as the northern Ontario representative. The 2022 ‘AA’ and ‘AAA’ OFSAA will take place on November 24 – 26.
