Algoma University Varsity Athletics announced on May 7th that Sault Ste Marie’s Sierra Drodge has committed to the Thunderbird Women’s Soccer program for the 2021 – 2022 season.
Sierra is from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and attends Mary’s College. She plays in the midfield position.
Sierra will be studying in the four year Biology program at Algoma U.
Assistant Coach of Thunderbird Women’s Soccer Daniel Scarpino says: “Sierra will bring to the program a level of confidence, energy, and passion. She’s a humble individual who’s character and hunger to succeed will be a positive influence for all in the program.”
Sierra says: “I chose Algoma because I get the opportunity to play soccer at the University level while staying in my hometown. I look forward to helping my team have a successful year! She added:”I think I can bring hard work and dedication to the team.”
