Soo U18 Greyhounds Return from the Nation’s Capital with Two Ties and Two Losses at the Senator ‘AAA’ Showcase

Over the Friday, October 18th to Sunday, October 20th weekend, the Soo U18 Greyhounds are set to embark on an exhilarating trip to the nation’s capital for the 2024 Senator AAA Showcase, following a series of thrilling games that have tested their mettle. The team celebrated a decisive 3-2 North Central Predators win against the Predators to open the Senator AAA Showcase on Friday morning, igniting their confidence as they headed into their next game against Hamilton Kilty B’s. They then faced a gritty 2-2 tie against the B’s, showcasing their resilience and teamwork. Although they experienced a setback with a 6-2 loss to the Vaughan Kings. In their final game of the weekend the Greyhounds rebounded with a hard-fought 2-2 tie against the Southern Tier Admirals on Saturday evening, proving their ability to adapt and compete under pressure. With a mix of determination and camaraderie, the Greyhounds are ready to leave it all on the ice in Ottawa, eager to make their mark against top-tier talent.

The Soo U18 Greyhounds will now return to GNU18HL action when they are back on the road over the October 25th – 27th weekend with three games with their first stop in Sudbury on Friday evening for a 7:15 p.m against the Sudbury U18 Wolves start followed by two games in Powassan against the North Bay U18 Trappers. The game times in Powassan will be 7:30 p.m (Saturday) and 1:30 p.m (Sunday).
