U18 coach Sean Gagnon told Saultsports.com that “it was good weekend of growth and maturing, the boys quickly found out, and how to kill penalties on a consistent basis, stick together and not get caught up in “other’s agendas” (refereeing)! We were very shorthanded, we still rallied to play good hockey with two lines and forwards, and finished the last two games with a goalie who couldn’t use his catching hand! Our boys did not give up and played very hard, and I have seen a lot of good things starting to take shape! Good things are on the horizon. We knew it would be a challenge from the beginning of the season but I’m happy to say I love these kids and I wouldn’t want to go through this with any other team.”

“Bring on the 2023 – 2024 GNU18HL season,” added Gagnon.

Next up for the Soo U18 Greyhounds will be over the October 20th to 22nd weekend when they open the 2023 – 2024 GNU18HL season on the road when they head east to Powassan to face the U18 North Bay Trappers.
