Soo Black Sox 11U Finish 2-2 in Sudbury at August Madness

In the first of three weekends on the road to take part in a two weekend August Madness with a stop in Sudbury for a four-game weekend over August 13 – 15, the Soo Black Sox met the Creemore Braves, Brampton Braves and the Sudbury Shamrocks in 11U baseball action.

Coach Keith Coletti told Saultsports that “overall the boys performed well. Our pitching was our strongest aspect this weekend. Game one Jacob Scornaiencki threw a complete game for the victory against Brampton in game two Jackson Carroll, Ethan Reynolds and Luke Thorburn were strong strong despite the loss to a strong Creemore team. Owen Nott pitched five strong innings and Kale Coletti closed the door in relief to secure the victory against the same Creemore.”

“Overall this was our best weekend of baseball thus far. Heading into Brampton next weekend we need to be more consistent in our game to be successful,” said Coletti.

The Soo Black Sox take their 2 – 2 weekend record into Brampton, Ontario on the August 20 – 22 weekend in the second weekend of August Madness 11U action.
