Over the weekend of June 27th to 29th, the Soo 11U Black Sox battled through scorching temperatures and stiff competition at the 2025 Ralph Hall Classic in LaSalle, Ontario. Joining the tournament lineup alongside the Leamington Lakers, Lakeshore Whitecaps, Brampton Royals, and hosts LaSalle Titans, the Black Sox delivered a weekend of impressive play and grit.

The tournament opened Friday evening with a commanding performance from the Soo, as they defeated the Brampton ‘AA’ Royals with a dominant 16-2 victory. The momentum carried into Saturday, where the Black Sox edged out the Lakeshore Whitecaps 9-6 in a tightly contested game. However, the team met their match later that evening against the host Titans, who handed the Soo an 11-0 shutout loss.

Despite the setback, the Black Sox earned a spot in the championship final on Sunday afternoon, once again facing the powerhouse LaSalle Titans. In the heat of the day and the heat of competition, the Soo gave it their all, but fell short in the final by a score of 11-1, earning a well-deserved silver medal finish at the 2025 Ralph Hall Classic.
