Smith Registers Four Points for Soo U18 Greyhounds on Opening Weekend

Over the September 30 to October 2 weekend, the Soo U18 Greyhounds opened their 2022 – 2023 hockey season with a road game on the road on September 30 against the Sudbury Nickel Capitals before returning to Sault Ste Marie to host the Kapuskasing Flyers on October 1 and 2 at the John Rhodes Centre.

U18 Greyhound coach Jamie Henderson told Saultsports that “I think we have seen during these early games the type of team we can be when we are focused and take care of the details in our game. We saw contributions from everyone this weekend which was a great positive these aren’t easy games playing against older bigger teams it’s clear how teams are going to try and play us so we need to be dialed in.”

The Soo U18 Greyhounds now head to Toronto over the Thursday, October 6 to Monday, October 10 weekend to take part in the Toronto Titans Tournament followed by are back in action at home on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 when they host the New Liskeard Cubs in 6:30 p.m and 11:00 a.m puck drops respectively.
