As the countdown to the 2026 season continues, Saultsports is proud to launch its weekly player preview series featuring the Sault Sabercats. Each week, we’ll spotlight a coach’s player selection every week, giving fans an inside look at the talent and personalities set to take the field in the Ontario Summer Football League. The coverage will continue throughout the week with dedicated features on U18 players every Tuesday and U16 standouts every Thursday, building excitement and showcasing the depth of the Sabercats program heading into the new season.

What season are you entering with Sabercats? Second Season

Why is summer football so important to you?
Summer football is so important to me because it’s a way that I can show my skills against other teams in Ontario and I love the game of football.

What are your personal and team-oriented goals for the upcoming 2026 OSFL season?
The team oriented goal this season is to win, we have a great team this year and I think we will do great this season.

What are you most looking forward to playing this season for the Sabercats?
I am most looking forward to playing our first game. I think it will be a good battle against Sudbury and will be a great game.

For anyone that is not familiar with your play style, how would you describe yourself as a player?
I would describe myself as fast, great vision, coach able, and good teammate.

Who is your biggest football role model? Could be a coach, teammate?
My biggest football role model would be the whole korah football coaching staff. They turned me into a good football player and refined my skill set with every practice.

How do you stay motivated and focused during a game or practice?
I stay motivated and focused during a game or practice by thinking about winning or something to look forward to at the end.

What do you think makes a great leader on the football field?
What I think makes a great leader is someone who takes initiative in their actions and someone who lifts up the team no matter what.

What is your greatest accomplishment as a football player?
My greatest accomplishment as a player would be when I was playing in the NOSSA game and Korah won.

What makes you the best candidate for this position that the coaches have asked you to play?
What makes me the best candidate for this position is that I have played this position for sometime so I understand what I have to do and I have great speed and vision to hit those gaps and beat those linebackers with my speed.

What do you think is the most important aspect of being a member of a team?
I think the most important aspect of being a member of a team is being included and feeling that you belong.

Finally, what do you think is the most important quality for a football player to possess compared to other sports?
I think the most important quality for a football player to have is the mental toughness you need to have and the intelligence on the field.
