Paul Orazietti, the current Head Football Coach and Managing Director of Sault College Cougars Athletics, will be inducted into the University of British Columbia’s Wall of Honour as a Coach/Builder on October 30th. The recognition highlights Orazietti’s significant contributions to football and his accomplishments throughout a coaching career that has spanned multiple levels of the sport.
Before returning to Sault Ste. Marie, Orazietti established an impressive legacy with the UBC Thunderbirds, winning two Vanier Cups—one as a player and another as a coach. He spent nine seasons on the UBC coaching staff from 2010 to 2019, including his final two seasons as Associate Head Coach. His time with the Thunderbirds helped establish him as a respected coach and leader within Canadian university football.
Orazietti’s extensive coaching and scouting experience extends well beyond UBC. His career has included work with Football Alberta, the University of Calgary and the NFL World League, along with guest coaching opportunities with both the Calgary Stampeders and BC Lions. Now leading the Sault College Cougars, Orazietti continues to bring that wealth of experience to the local football community while building on a career that has earned recognition across the country.

T-Bird coaching accolades 16-Conference All-Stars, 14-CFL draft picks, 1-NFL DRAFT PICK, 6-CIS All-Canadians.
About the Wall of Honour
The Wall of Honour was established by the Thunderbird Football Advisory Council to recognize highly accomplished athletes, builders, teams and community members who have made outstanding contributions to the football tradition at the University of British Columbia. The WOH is complementary to the UBC Sports HOF in celebration of football’s prolific history and numerous accomplishments. Inductees are enshrined on the basis of playing ability, leadership, and sportsmanship, and in so doing have enhanced the image of Thunderbird football. The primary criteria for selection is determined by championships, awards, individual records, conference honours, and national recognition while competing for the Thunderbirds.
