On Wednesday, June 18, the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) officially announced its 2025 regular season men’s baseball schedule, with the Sault College Cougars returning to the diamond for another exciting campaign. The season is set to begin on Saturday, September 6th, when the Cougars open at home at Sinclair Yards at 12:00 p.m against the visiting Humber Hawks.
The Cougars head to Sudbury on Friday, August 29th, to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs in a doubleheader, with games scheduled for 12:00 p.m and 2:00 p.m. Then, on Wednesday, September 24th, the team returns closer to home to face off against Grace Christian University in another exciting twin bill, kicking off at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at James Field in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
The 2025 schedule includes 18 regular season games, evenly split between nine home and nine away matchups. A major early test for the Cougars will come during their first road trip of the season when they travel to Windsor, Ontario, to take on the four-time defending OCAA champion St. Clair Saints over the September 13–14 weekend.

Cougars coach Ryan told Saultsports that “the Sault College Baseball Program is looking forward to the start of the upcoming 2025 season. We will be opening training camp on Monday August 25th at 9:00 a.m at Sinclair Field. We will be playing an exhibition game against on OUA school for the first time in our teams history, Friday August 29th when we travel to Sudbury to play Laurentian in a double header. This will give myself and the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate all new recruits and returning players. This will be a great opportunity and test before we open up our OCAA season at home Saturday September 6th against a very strong program when we take on the Humber Hawks. The baseball program at Sault College is continuing to grow as we enter into our fourth season. I am very hopefully we will play solid baseball this season giving us an opportunity to compete in every game and challenge for a playoff position.”
