Northern Ontario Teams to Converge on Sault Ste Marie for the 2023 NOWHL U11 Championship Playoffs

The Sault Ste. Marie U11 Jr. Greyhounds Girls hockey team are proud to announce that they will be hosting the 2023 Northern Ontario Women’s Hockey League (NOWHL) U11 Championship Playoffs starting on Friday, March 24th to Sunday, March 26th.

The highly anticipated year-end tournament will see seven teams from across Northern Ontario vying for the Championship Playoff title. Participating teams include the Kapuskasing Jaguars, Sudbury Lady Wolves, Timmins Falcons, North Bay Ice Boltz, Hearst Ice Cats, Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds, and of course, the Sault Ste. Marie Jr. Greyhounds.

Round Robin games will be played at the new Northern Community Centre starting on Friday at 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m, and on Saturday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The semi-finals are scheduled for Sunday at 8:00 a.m and 8:30 a.m, with the winners advancing to the finals at noon.
