Modified Madness to take to Laird Raceway on August 11, 2022

With another week of short track racing upon with the fourth event of the 2022 season, the 2022 Modified Madness will take to the track at Laird Raceway on August 11th. Along with the Modified Madness, Laird Raceway will offer a full show with the Super Late Models, NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds, Service Rental Factory Stocks, Atomic Blonde Factory Fours and Lakeway Automotive Enduro classes taking to the 1/3 mile oval.

In the NAPA Auto Part Modified division only one point separates the top two drivers with Goulais’ Jay Palumbo sitting atop of the standings with Sault Ste Marie’s Dustin Jackson holding on to second with 99 points heading into August 11 Modified Madness event. Sault Ste Marie’s Mark Porpealia rounds out the top Modified three division with 71 points. 22 year old Dustin Jackson has a 18 point lead in the Super Late Model division with Sault Ste Marie’s Ron Raynor in second with 81 points entering into Laird Raceway’s fourth event of the season. Heyden’s Rob Hiiemaa sits in third with 71 points in the Super Late Model division.

Sault Ste Marie’s Daniel Bibeau heads into Thursday, August 11th race with two wins under his belt in 2022 with 103 points leading the Service Rental Factory Stocks. Desbarats’s Jamie Fox and Sault Ste Marie’s Jarritt Varcoe are tied for second in the Service Rental Factory Stock division with 87 points a piece. Echo Bay’s Jerry Ross holds down the third position in the tightiest division with 73 points. In the Atomic Blonde Factory Four division, Terrance Devon leads all Laird Raceway drivers in 2022 heading into August 11th event with three wins and sits atop of the division with 95 points. Devon will be looking over his shoulder heading into the fourth event of the season with rookie driver Shanna Harten only two points behind Devon for second. Veteran driver Jack Lannigan rounds up the Atomic Blonde Factory Four division with 90 points.

Laird Raceway’s Modified Madness will hit the 1/3 mile oval for a 7:00 p.m green flag with the pits opening at 4:00 p.m and grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m on August 11th.
