Local LSFSC Figure Skaters Compete at 2026 Provincial Championships in Hamilton

Three Lake Superior Figure Skating Club skaters show nothing but dedication, courage and sportsmanship while competing over the March 22nd to 25th weekend in Hamilton.

The club is proud to recognize the efforts of its skaters who recently competed at the Provincial Championships, where they represented their club and Sault Ste Marie with determination and resilience.

Despite facing a challenging lead-up to the event, including injuries and illness, each athlete stepped onto the ice ready to give their best and demonstrated incredible perseverance throughout the competition.

Delaney Schumacher competed in two events, placing 13th in Gold Women Free Program and 17th in STAR 9 O14 Short Program, showing strong commitment and competitive spirit. Emily Arbour delivered a confident performance to earn 10th place in STAR 7 Artistic, while Erin Bagg gained valuable experience and finished 20th in STAR 5 O13 Free Program.

“Competing at the provincial level is an achievement in itself,” said Head Coach and Director of Skating, Kerry Bain. “We are extremely proud of how our skaters handled adversity and continued to push forward. Their dedication, courage, and sportsmanship truly stood out.”
The club celebrates not only the results, but the hard work, growth, and determination shown by each skater throughout the season.
