The Korah Colts, fresh off their regular season and playoff championship victories in the Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League, are gearing up for their next challenge at the 2025 ‘AA’ OFSAA Hockey Championships. The tournament, set to take place from March 18 to 20 in Sudbury, Ontario, will see the Colts compete against fifteen of the top high school teams from across the province in pursuit of the coveted ‘AA’ OFSAA title.
Ranked seventh heading into the championship, the Korah Colts will begin their campaign with two round-robin matchups on Tuesday, March 18. They will face the twelfth-ranked St. Mary’s Crusaders (GHAC) from Hamilton in an early 8:00 a.m showdown before returning to the ice at 12:00 p.m to battle the fourteenth-ranked Patrick Fogarty Flames from Orillia, Ontario.
Their round-robin play concludes on Wednesday, March 19, with a 10:15 a.m contest against the tournament’s top-seeded team, the St. Theresa Titans from Belleville. This matchup will be a key test for the Colts as they look to position themselves for a deep playoff run.
Following the round-robin stage, the top teams will advance to the knockout rounds. The quarter-finals are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at 6:00 p.m, while the semi-finals will take place on Thursday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m. The tournament will culminate with the championship game at 3:00 p.m on March 20, where one team will be crowned the 2025 ‘AA’ OFSAA champion.
With momentum on their side, the Korah Colts will aim to make a strong statement in Sudbury.
