Thursday, August 13th marked the final week of Thursday Night Thunder for the 2026 season at Laird Raceway, and the season-ending Thursday night went out with a bang as more than 55 cars entertained a full house of race fans. Race fans will be treated to one final weekend of racing in 2026 with the Mike Parsons Memorial taking place August 21st and 22nd. It promises to be an exciting two nights of racing as drivers battle for the checkered flag and honour the legacy of Mike Parsons.

With the regular Thursday Night Thunder schedule now complete, drivers had one final opportunity to put on a show for the Laird Raceway crowd. The Modified and Factory Stock divisions also had increased prize money on the line, with the Modified winner taking home $800 and the Factory Stock winner earning $750.

The night featured five divisions of racing, including the Super Late Models, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Factory Fours and Enduros.

Super Late Models
The 25-lap Super Late Model Feature saw an eight-car field take the green flag, with Mike Heinonen starting from the pole position in the #56. Jordan Parniak started alongside Heinonen on the front row in the #826, while Jordan Rocchetta started third in the #33.

Dustin Jackson rolled off fourth in the #61, followed by Jeremy Van Hoek in the #51, who started fifth. Chase Wilson started sixth in the #77 and finishing first in the Super Late Model division feature, with Jordan Sims starting seventh in the #47. Steve Hiiemaa completed the field, starting eighth in the #50.

With the Super Late Models taking to the track for 25 laps, fans were treated to another opportunity to watch some of Laird Raceway’s top competitors battle around the one-third-mile oval.

Modifieds
The Modified Feature was scheduled for 30 laps and featured nine cars battling for the $800 winner’s prize.

The pole position went to the #28, while Chris Miller started second in the #15. Dylan Connolly started third in the #86, with Craig Seabrook starting fourth in the #4. Leila Whalen rolled off fifth in the #11, followed by Jason Herrington in the #78, who started sixth.

J.P. Delpaggio started seventh in the #22, while Dustin Jackson started eighth in the #61. Mark Laakso completed the starting lineup from ninth in the #84.

Starting deep in the field, Jackson put together a strong run in the #61, working his way forward and ultimately capturing the Modified Feature victory. The win earned Jackson $800 to cap off Thursday Night Thunder’s 2026 schedule.

Factory Stocks
The Factory Stock Feature also went 30 laps, with 12 drivers taking the green flag and a $750 winner’s prize up for grabs.

Dyllen Sherrard started from the pole in the #84, with Kayleigh Tucker alongside him in the #4K. Gregory Johnston started third in the #01, while Teagan Lapish started fourth in the #77X.

Daniel Bibeau started fifth in the #08, followed by Dale Tucker in the #4 from sixth. Kenn Schwarz started seventh in the #75, with Jamie Fox starting eighth in the #51.

Owen Brown started ninth in the #12, followed by Shanna Harten in the #711 from 10th. Rob Wagner started 11th in the #88, while Brad Bibeau started at the back of the field in 12th in the #80.

Brown put together an impressive run from ninth on the starting grid, moving forward to capture the Factory Stock Feature victory. The win earned Brown $750 for his efforts. Dale Tucker, who started sixth in the #4, was unable to finish the feature.

Factory Fours
The Factory Four Feature featured a 16-car field competing over 20 laps. The Factory Stock division saw #77X Dawson Wilson who started 12th capture his first ever feature win on August 13th at Laird Raceway.

Kohle Kennedy started from the pole position in the #27, with Harmony Swain starting second in the #77. Taryn McCoy started third in the #71, while Madison Tucker started fourth in the #4M.

Brandon Williams started fifth in the #96, with Chassie St Jules starting sixth in the #03. Lucas Crosato rolled off seventh in the #22X, followed by Seth Ralph in the #94 from eighth.

Tyler Mortimore started ninth in the #86X, while Cody Herrington started 10th in the #79. Will Siddall started 11th in the #07, with Dawson Wilson starting 12th in the #77X.

Chris Pinder started 13th in the #14M, Dustin Couturier started 14th in the #86, Shawn Desjardins started 15th in the #17, and Andrew Dowding rounded out the field from 16th in the #96T.

The Factory Four feature saw several drivers unable to finish, including Couturier, St Jules, Kennedy, Herrington, Madison Tucker and Dowding, adding another layer of excitement to the 20-lap battle.

Enduro
The Enduro Feature brought the evening’s racing action to a close with a 15-lap feature.

Kayden Lapish started from the pole position in the #77X, with Jackson D’Angelo starting second in the #4. Kadin Johnston was scheduled to start third in the #66, but did not start the feature.

Colton Mulvale started fourth in the #14, while James Samara started fifth in the #420. John Dubois rolled off sixth in the #57, followed by Ashley Morin in the #25 from seventh.

Victoria McGonegal started eighth in the #96, Lucas Fabbricino started ninth in the #95, and Dayne Lorenzo started 10th in the #19 and won the Enduro feature at Thursday Night Thunder at Laird Raceway.

The Enduro field closed out another action-packed Thursday Night Thunder program and brought the final weekly race night of the 2026 season to an end.

Mike Parsons Memorial Set for August 21–22
Although Thursday Night Thunder has come to an end for the 2026 season, Laird Raceway will have one more major weekend of racing remaining.

The 2026 Mike Parsons Memorial Weekend will take place on Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd, bringing two final nights of racing action to Laird Raceway.

Fans can expect more information regarding the 2026 Mike Parsons Memorial to be released over the August 15–17 weekend, with details on the divisions, schedule and event activities to follow.

After a season filled with close racing, changing championship battles, large car counts and strong fan support, Laird Raceway is now preparing for one final weekend of racing to officially close out the 2026 season.
