Laird Raceway is set for another big night of short-track ⅓ mile racing on Thursday, August 13th, as race fans will be treated to five divisions of racing, two 30-lap feature events and the always-popular Spectator Drags.
The night will feature increased payouts in both the Factory Stock and Modified divisions. The Factory Stock 30-lap feature winner will take home $750, while the Modified 30-lap feature winner will earn $800, provided the winning cars are deemed legal following post-race technical inspection.
With $750 for Factory Stock and $800 for Modified in feature winner’s money on the line, both divisions will have plenty to race for as drivers battle for valuable championship points and bragging rights at the track.
The August 13th program will feature Super Late Models, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Factory Fours and Enduros, giving fans a full night of short-track racing action.
Championship Battles Heating Up
The championship standings are beginning to take shape across all five divisions, with several tight battles developing heading into Thursday night’s action.
In the Super Late Models, Dustin Jackson sits atop the standings in the #61 with 166 points, followed by Jordan Sims in the #47 with 142 points and Jordan Parniak in the #826 with 135 points.
The Modified championship race is extremely close at the top. J.P. Delpaggio leads the way in the #22 with 217 points, just three points ahead of Dustin Jackson’s #61 with 214 points. Mark Laakso sits third in the #84 with 204 points.
The Factory Stock division has Brad Bibeau leading the standings in the #80 with 215 points. Daniel Bibeau sits second in the #08 with 187 points, while Dale Tucker is third in the #4 with 174 points.
In the Factory Fours, Lucas Crosato holds the lead in the #22X with 189 points, just one point ahead of Will Siddall in the #07 with 188 points. Dylan Couturier currently sits third in the #38F with 154 points.
The Enduro standings are led by Lucas Fabbricino in the #95 with 30 points. Dayne Lorenzo is second in the #19 with 28 points, while Eric Sylvestre sits third in the #44 with 24 points.
Spectator Drags Return
The action won’t be limited to the five regular racing divisions. The Spectator Drags will once again give fans the opportunity to hit the track and show what their street machines can do.
Every driver who starts the Spectator Drags will receive $50, while the overall winner will take home $100. Register here today!
Thursday Night at the Raceway
Fans can expect a full evening of family-friendly entertainment at Laird Raceway.
The grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m, with qualifying scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. The first green flag is expected to wave just after 7:00 p.m.
Admission is $25 for adults, while children and youth 17 and under are admitted free, along with seniors aged 75 and older. Pit admission is $35 for all ages.
