Algoma University Varsity Athletics is excited to announce that Francheska Onasanya has committed to the Thunderbird Women’s Soccer program for the 2022/2023 season.

Francheska is from Kemptville, Ontario and is a product of Frank’s Soccer Training Academy.

Francheska will be studying in the four year Law and Justice program at Algoma U. Francheska also likes to read and has an interest in coaching and activism.

Head Coach of Thunderbird Women’s Soccer Neil Ovey stated: “We are happy that Francheska has chosen Algoma.She is a holding midfield player who is technically good and keeps things simple. She has a good understanding of the game and we are looking forward to working with her.”

Francheska says “I have chosen Algoma U because it has everything I am looking for. I love the atmosphere of the campus,and the soccer program has everything I could ask for, the moment I stepped onto the campus everything felt right.”
