There are very few drivers who have been behind the wheel of a stock car at Laird Raceway since its inception in 1999. One of those select few is Jamie Fox (#51)
The Echo Bay, ON driver backed up an impressive run one week ago by finding his way to Victory Lane this past Thursday Night (Aug. 1) in the Lakeway Automotive Factory Stock Division.
Starting 9th in a field of 12 cars, Fox showed his veteran prowess by methodically passing on the outside of the Speedway and picking up his 1st feature of the year over a season-high car count of competitors.
Owen Brown (12, Sault Ste. Marie ON) and Ed Lapish (77, Echo Bay ON) wrapped up their strong nights with second and third place finishes respectively.
Goulais River, Ontario product and veteran pilot Buddy Palahnuk (26) made his debut in the division.

Michael Gold (97, Sault Ste. Marie) made his return to the 1/3 milein the NAPA Reyco Automotive Modified Division and didn’t look out of place come time for their main event.
A blanket could have covered the top 6 cars throughout the duration of the race that was led from start to finish by one car - later to be disqualified in tech.
The win was credited to Jason Herrington (78, Thessalon ON) with Mark Laakso (84, Echo Bay Ontario) taking second and Gold rounding out the podium position.

Through five weeks of competition no one has been able to dethrone the defending track champion - and current point leader in the Service Rental and Sales Super Late Model Division.
This week’s 10-car field all would start the feature but when the ield went the distance, Chase Wilson (77, Sault Ste. Marie ON) rose to the top for another feature win of the year.
Fast qualifier Jeremy Van Hoek (51, Sault Ste. Marie ON) was 2nd with Kevin Errington (21K, Sault Ste. Marie ON) in third.

The top four cars in the Northland Auto Body Four Cylinder point standings would take the top four spots in their feature event on Thursday.
Christopher Viotto and Shanna Harten exited turn 4 side-by-side before Viotto crossed the line for his 1st career feature win of 2024.
Harten (points leader) finished second while Giannia Viotto (7, Sault Ste. Marie ON), Dyllen Sherrard (16, Sault Ste. Marie ON) and Dylan Couturier (38F, Sault Ste. Marie) capping off the top 5.

The Sault Ste. Marie, ON crossed the line just ahead of 3-time winner and current point leader Dylan Connolly - while Tehden McBride (721, Sault Ste. Marie ON) was third.
