Chong and Kleist Led the Huskies Past Wolverines in High School Action

On Sunday, December 8th, at the John Rhodes Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, high school hockey fans were treated to an exciting match as the first-place CASS Huskies (6-2) squared off against the last-place White Pines Wolverines (0-9) in the Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League. The Huskies, coming off a strong start to the season, entered the game with confidence, while the struggling Wolverines were looking for their first win of the season.

Mika Chong and Brody Kleist were the standout performers for the CASS Huskies in their dominant 8-1 victory. Chong contributed a goal and three assists, while Kleist found the back of the net twice and added one assist, leading the charge offensively for the Huskies. Arthur Vincent scored the lone goal for the White Pines Wolverines, but it wasn’t enough to mount a serious challenge. In net, Thomas Bouchard stopped 14 shots for the Wolverines, but his efforts were overshadowed by CASS goalie Jack Unetic, who turned away 13 of 14 shots, securing a strong performance between the pipes for the Huskies.
