The 2025 boys’ high school volleyball season in Sault Ste. Marie officially served off on Wednesday, September 25th, with action at both White Pines and Superior Heights.
At White Pines, the Notre Dame Voyageurs opened their campaign in strong fashion, sweeping the host Wolverines in straight sets. The Voyageurs controlled the pace throughout the match, taking the sets 25-21, 25-17, and 25-19 to secure the 3-0 victory.
Meanwhile, over at Superior Heights, the St. Mary’s Knights battled back after dropping the opening set to the Steelhawks. The Knights responded with three straight wins, closing out the match 3-1 with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, and 25-20.
With opening night in the books, teams now turn their focus to the next round of games scheduled for Monday, September 29th. The Wolverines will look to rebound when they travel to Korah, while Notre Dame and St. Mary’s will go head-to-head in a key early-season matchup.
