Algoma University Varsity Athletics announced Friday, February 12th that Anton Peter has committed to the Thunderbird Men’s Soccer program for the 2021-22 OUA season.

Anton from Toronto, Ontario and attends Earl Haig Secondary School. He is a member of the Richmond Hill Soccer Club and plays in the left back position.

Anton will be studying in the four year Biology program at Algoma U.

Head Coach of Thunderbird Men’s Soccer Sam Medaglia says: “Anton is a versatile player who can play in the back line of defense or he can also be used in the midfield. He shows great determination in defending and shows poise while transitioning to attack mode.”

Anton says: “I am very excited to be attending Algoma University because of the programs they offer and the small classes they have, therefore I can excel in my academics and athletics. Being given the opportunity to be part of Algoma’s varsity soccer team I believe the program can move forward and become more successful. Coach Sam is rebuilding the team through his dedication and hard work. With the recruits he is bringing in the team looks very promising for the 2021-2022 season.”
