Three swimmers will represent the Sault Surge Aquatic Team at the upcoming 2024 Ontario Summer Swimming Championships to be held at the Toronto Pan-Am Sports Centre pool on July 4th to July 7th.
Andrew Li, Brie Reid and Jordan Thomas will each compete in three events over the course of the four day event.
Racing begins Thursday July 4, 2024 at 8:45am. The meet will be live streamed at RectecTV.ca with preliminary sessions set for 8:45am each day and 5:00pm finals.
All three Surge swimmers have experience competing at this level. Li competes in the 100m and 200m backstroke as well as the 100 m freestyle event. Reid competes in the 50m freestyle as well as the 100m and 200m breaststroke. Thomas competes in the 100m and 200m Breastroke events as well as the 200m individual medley event.
All swimmers will be racing during the preliminary sessions each day that will be seeded by time with swimmers with the top 10 swimmers in each age group advancing to the finals each evening. The age groups for the female swimmers are 13 and under; 14; 15; 16 and over. The male swimmers age groups are 14 and under; 15; 16; 17 and over.
