After an 8 – 3 on Friday, November 18th at the John Rhodes Centre over the Superior Heights Steelhawks, the St Mary’s Knights returned to action for their fourth game in seven days when hitting the ice against the Korah Colts in Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey League action on Monday, November 21st at the John Rhodes Centre.
With a very short bench for the Korah Colts due to injuries and players resting for OFSAA Football Championships, the Colts were shutout by the Knights in a 14 – 0 loss in high school hockey action. Nine different St Mary’s players registering points in the win with Cole Masse (1 assist), Gabe Zimbaro (1 goal/1 assist), Koen Kurylo (1 goal), Nathan Palmer (1 goal/3 assists), Darion Pucci (2 goals/2 assists), Dawson Wilson (1 goal), Kyle Scarfone (1 goal), Lucas Green (3 assists), Daniel Guzzo 1 goal/4 assists), Nik Vecchio (2 goals/1 assist), Daniel Bumbaco (3 goals/1 assist), and Carmine Perna (2 goals) along with Jaxon Alexander earning the shutout for the Colts. Kris Walker and Troy Rossetto shared the goaltending duties in the Korah loss.
The Korah Colts and St Mary’s Knights are back in action for a midweek clash on Wednesday, November 23rd in a 3:30 p.m puck drop at the John Rhodes Centre.
