Over the November 15 and 16 weekend, Sault Ste. Marie will play host to an exciting showdown as four junior and four senior girls basketball teams gather for the 2024 ‘AA/AAA’ NOSSA championships. Teams from across Northern Ontario will compete for a coveted spot at the provincial level, with the winners earning their ticket to the ‘AA’ OFSAA championships in North Bay and the ‘AAA’ OFSAA championships in Brampton on November 21st to 23rd. The competition promises to be fierce, as each team brings a blend of talent, determination, and a passion for the game. For the athletes, this is a chance to make their mark and advance to the next level of high school basketball, while also showcasing the strong basketball culture in Northern Ontario. Fans can expect thrilling, high-intensity matchups as the teams battle for regional supremacy and a chance to represent Northern Ontario on the provincial stage.
