The thought — let’s use the phones glued to their hands as part of the theme for this fall’s high school football preview. We landed on social media. Then, the wheels started turning. What do you love most about St Mary’s College Knights senior football?
I love playing the game and wearing the knights logo.

Stefon Diggs

In addition to varsity football, you are on varsity basketball and hockey at St Mary’s College too, is there a lot of pressure to be a multisport high school athlete and how do you deal with it?
I don’t normally feel pressure, but after last year’s success I do feel some pressure to repeat what I have done.

Do you have a pre-game ritual?
No I just go with the flow.

What is a tip that you would give another student athlete to find success in school and in their sport?
Enjoy every moment but You have to be willing to put in the work on the field in the weight room and in the classroom.

What is your favorite song right now?
Hard to choose one.

How long have you been playing football?
8 years.

How is the team looking next year?
Team is looking good we should do well.

What’s it like before each game and what’s your routine for the day of?
I don’t have a routine but I get excited when I see the energy around the school and it helps to give me energy.

Do you want to continue playing football after high school?
Yes I would love to play after high school.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football?
Making big plays and scoring touchdowns.

What’s the best thing that football has taught you?
That it’s about teamwork there is no individual success without team success.

So, where do you feel you’ve made your biggest improvements since preparing for the 2022 football season?
I’ve become bigger, stronger and faster through training over the offseason.

What do you think the potential is for this offense for 2022?
The sky is the limit we have a lot of weapons on the offence this season.
