After the 2023 Laird Raceway season opener was postponed due to weather conditions on Thursday, June 29th, the 2023 season hit the 1/3 mile race track one week later on Thursday, July 6th with 2,650 race fans in attendance and were entertained by over 40+ drivers racing for the checkered flag in five different classes.
In the Super Late Model division, the crowd was entertained by a father – son battle for first and second with the young gun #77 Chase Wilson finishing a quarter lap ahead of his father #88 George Wilson to capture his first win of the 2023 race season at Laird Raceway. #61 Dustin Jackson rounded out the top three in the Super Late Model division on Thursday evening.
Factory Stock driver of the #08 Brad Bibeau told Saultsports that “it was a good way to start the year at Laird this evening. We can’t thank our crew , family’s & sponsors enough! Both our cars were fast and went on the trailer in one piece, nice to see lots of new faces and people investing in the sport.”
