Wolverines Football & Basketball Tryouts Announced for 2023

High school football and basketball tryouts are a pivotal time for aspiring student athletes to showcase their skills, determination, and passion for the game. High school football and basketball tryouts are typically held before the start of the football and basketball high school season to select players for the school’s football and basketball teams. High school sports tryouts are a platform to display your dedication, talent, and potential as a player. By approaching tryouts with preparation, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, you’re setting yourself up for success. Remember that the journey doesn’t end with tryouts; it’s an ongoing process of improvement and growth in the world of high school junior and senior sports.

The White Pines Wolverines are back with fielding junior and senior football programs for the 2023 Sault Ste Marie High School season with their tryouts begin practices for football and girls Basketball at White Pines C&VS at 1007 Trunk Rd.

  • Junior Football Training Camp – August 23-31, September 1 from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m
  • Senior Football Training Camp – August 23-28, September 1 from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m
  • Junior Girls’ Basketball Tryouts – August 28th-31st from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m
  • Senior Girls’ Basketball Tryouts – August 29 & 31 from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m

All practices are at White Pines C&VS. Athletes asked to bring a refillable water bottle. Please come 15 minutes early to ensure coaches can register you.

Senior Football players – cleats and full equipment and appropriate attire
Junior Football players – bring cleats and appropriate workout attire
Senior Girls’ Basketball – wear appropriate non-marking gym shoes
