Week two of the Sault Ste. Marie High School Boys Volleyball season hit the hardwood on Monday, September 29th, with a pair of competitive matches across the city. The White Pines Wolverines traveled to Korah Collegiate to meet the Colts, while the St. Mary’s Knights welcomed the Notre Dame Voyageurs.
At St. Mary’s College, the Voyageurs put together a strong all-around performance, defeating the Knights in straight sets. Notre Dame held steady under pressure, taking the match 3–0 with set scores of 25–20, 25–20, and 25–22.
Across town, White Pines and Korah battled through a tightly contested four-setter. The Colts opened strong by taking the first set 25–21, but the Wolverines clawed back to win three straight sets. Behind consistent play and clutch points late, White Pines closed out the match with set scores of 25–22, 25–22, and 28–26 to earn a 3–1 victory.
The season continues on Wednesday, October 1st, with the Superior Heights Steelhawks heading to Korah to face the Colts, while the Wolverines host the Knights at White Pines. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
