Two FULL Nights of Racing at Laird Raceway on August 26th and 27th for 2022 Season Finale with $10,000 Up for Grabs

With the August 26th and 27th weekend fast approaching and the season finale to close out the 2022 short track racing season, we will see the biggest show of the season at Laird Raceway with a total of $10,000+ on the line for just the top four Super Late Models with two full shows of short track racing at the 1/3 oval in Laird Township with cars coming from Southern Ontario, Sault Ste Marie, Echo Bay, and Goulais for the 2022 Mike Parsons Memorial.

On Friday with a full show hitting the track, Laird Raceway fans will see a 25 lap Super Late Model feature along with Modified, Factory Stock, Four Cylinder, Enduro all competing for a checkered flag in 20 lap features followed by Saturday’s Super Late Model feature for the warmup to the 73 lap Mike Parsons Memorial 24 hours later on Saturday evening along with Modified, Factory Stock, Four Cylinder, Enduro 20 lap features at the 1/3 oval at Laird Raceway.

On Friday, the lineup will be Super Late Model, Modified, Factory Stock, Four Cylinder, Enduro, Buses, Spectator Drags, as well as lawnmower and ATU side by side races to round out the evening of racing followed by Saturday’s Super Late Model (73 laps), Modified, Factory Stock, Four Cylinder, Enduro, Buses, Spectator Drags, as well as lawnmower races with green flag dropping at 7:00 p.m on both evenings. Both evenings will include free camping and live entertainment by Annette Bouchard and the band ‘Just Chillin’.

The main feature of the weekend will be a 73 lap Super Late Model feature on Saturday evening with $10,000 up for grabs for first while second takes home $6,000, third will be $4000 and $1,000 for fourth. Michigan and Southern Ontario drivers will also receive $250 tow money for their travels to Northern Ontario for the August 26th and 27th weekend.

We will see locals like 2022 Super Late Model points leader Dustin Jackson behind the wheel of the #61 along with #90 Jay Palumbo who is sitting four points back of Jackson in the points standings for 2022. Rounding the top three in points, Ron Raynor Jr will pilot the #100R in the 73 lap race as well as #03 Dario Caprichio (Gildford, ON), #17 Brandon Passer (Innisfil, ON)
#51 Ethan Courneyea (Innisfil, ON) heading north with many many more racing for the purse on Friday and Saturday at the 1/3 oval.

On the line over the August 26th and 27th weekend is every division has point championships in the line over the next two nights of racing, so this is the most exciting time of the season already, and add to it we’ll see some traveling stars coming here for the $10,000 to win Michael Parsons Memorial Super Late Model race, this is going to be a treat for all the fans.
