With a 2 – 0 record and coming off a 10 – 1 home win over the Sudbury Spartans on June 10th at Rocky DiPietro Field, the Sault Steelers took to the road with only 21 players dressed to take on the 0 – 1 Sarnia Imperials in a Northern Football Conference action on Saturday, June 17th.

With only 21 players in the lineup on Saturday evening Sarnia, the Steelers fell to the Imperials 22 – 6 to be handed their first loss of the 2023 NFC season.

The (2 – 1) Steelers will now host the (1 – 1) Hamilton Jaguars at Rocky DiPietro Field in Sault Ste Marie for a Saturday, June 24th contest with kickoff time at 7:30 p.m.
