After a game two 51 – 43 loss at 2024 Senior ‘AA’ OFSAA Championships in North Bay, Ontario to the the number one ranked Oakville, Ontario’s Kings Christian Collegiate Cavaliers (Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference) on Friday, November 22nd, the sixth ranked St. Mary’s Knights (Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics) of Sault Ste. Marie returned to action later on Friday afternoon against the 13th ranked Anderson C & VI Raiders of Whitby, Ontario (Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletics) in a consolation round contest with a tipoff time of 4:00 p.m.
The Knights secured a dominant 48-30 victory over the Raiders in the opening round of the consolation bracket, showcasing their offensive firepower and solid teamwork. Abby Jaremko led the way with 12 points, fueling the Knights’ attack and setting the tone early in the game. Tru Toms followed closely with 11 points, contributing crucial baskets and providing support throughout. Sienna Magli added ten points, her consistent scoring helping to maintain the Knights’ lead, while Kloe Kurylo chipped in with seven points, offering key contributions when needed.
