U18 Greyhound coach told Saultsports that “I’m real proud of the group we were shorthanded all weekend and lost two more players last night. We need to get a little more on the inside in the offensive zone most of our offense was from the outside and this time of year there just the same opportunities, so we’ll need to work on that this week. We had guys playing different roles all weekend to fill the voids of the five injured players and it was great to see. It will only get more difficult up in Kap in that small rink and everyone will be gunning for us.”

“It’s great to earn a regular season championship but our sights are on something greater and we can’t wait to get started,” said Henderson.

The Soo U18 Greyhounds will now head to Kapuskasing, Ontario for the 2022 NOHA Tournament of Championships post season starting on March 16 – 20. The Greyhounds opponents will be the Sudbury U16 Nickel Capitals (Wednesday, March 16/7:00 p.m), New Liskeard Cubs (Thursday, March 17/4:00 p.m) and North Bay U18 Trappers (Friday, March 18/10:00 a.m) with the semi-final being played on Saturday, March 19th. All games will be live on HockeyTV.com.
