In Bowmanville, Ontario over the October 15th – 17th weekend, the Soo U15 Greyhound Girls took part in the 2021 Clarington Applefest Tournament joined by the Belmont Blazers, Burlington Barracudas, Clarington Flames, Gloucester-Cumberland Stars, Nepean Wildcats, Waterloo Ravens, Whitby Wolves, and the Windsor Wildcats hosted by the Clarington Girls Hockey Association.

The U15 Jr Greyhound girls competed in the Clarington Applefest Tournament this past weekend. “Out of a nine-team field, the Hounds made it to Sunday’s semifinal, but unfortunately fell to the host Clarington Flames 2-1. Overall a very positive result and we are very proud of the girls. Defensively the entire team was strong only surrendering five goals through five games, but unfortunately in the semis we came up against a pretty solid goalie from Clarington and failed to score until late in spite of outplaying the Flames for most of the game. Goaltender Pippa Holmes played all five games with a stellar 1.0 GAA. ” said Coach Rumiel.
Next up for the Soo U15 Greyhounds will be in Espanola, Ontario when the U15 Greyhounds face the North bay Ice Boltz on October 30th in 11:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m action.
