Over the October 14 – 16 weekend, the U15 A Greyhound Girls competed in the Etobicoke Pink the Rink Tournament. The team finished the weekend with a 4-1-1 record and took home the silver medal.
Head Coach Jamie Orlando had this to say about her teams effort. “Our goal going into the weekend was to come together as a team in order to make it to Sunday hockey, which we achieved. This group has grit and a never quit attitude. We faced many tough teams this weekend, but our group never backed down from the challenge and was never outworked. This weekend was a great experience for us, and this success is something we will look to build off of going forward this season.”
The U15 Hounds are coached by an all female staff including Jamie, Morgan Tersigni, Mikayla Ferlaino, Lue Mahafy and trainer Dee Shaw.
Next game action for the girls will be October 29 in Marinette, Wisconsin for a Michigan – Wisconsin – Ontario showcase.
