The Soo Minor Baseball Association are eagerly seeking dedicated individuals for the 2024 season to step up as coaches. These leagues are the bedrock of young athletes’ development, fostering not just their skills on the field, but also invaluable life lessons like teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. However, the shortage of coaches presents a significant challenge.

The role of a youth baseball coach is not just about teaching the fundamentals of the game; it’s about being a mentor, a role model, and a source of encouragement for these budding players. Whether you’re a former player, a parent passionate about the sport, or someone simply looking to make a positive impact in the community, there’s a vital need for individuals willing to invest their time and energy into shaping the next generation of baseball stars and, more importantly, outstanding individuals.

SMBA is in need of coaches and conveners before the season begins. If we don’t get all the coaches and conveners in place by April 22, 2024, evaluations will need to be postponed.
