Forty-six of Canada’s top women’s under-18 players will head to Calgary, Alberta in July for the BFL CANADA National Women’s Under-18 Team summer development camp that will include Sault Ste Marie’s Ariella Merlino. Merlino stands 5’8” and 135 lbs with a birthdate of August 3, 2004. The Sault Ste Marie, Ontario goaltender plays for Mississauga Jr Hurricanes in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).
Ariella told Saultsports.com that “I am very excited for this opportunity and a chance to compete and train alongside the best U18 hockey players in Canada.
