On Sunday, July 6th, Superior Heights Field in Sault Ste. Marie was buzzing with excitement as the Sault Minor Football League hosted four action-packed matchups—two in the Peewee division and two in the Bantam division.
In Peewee play, the Rhinos showed strong offensive execution and solid team defense on their way to a 30-12 victory over the Thrashers. The Vikings followed with an impressive display of dominance, cruising to a 44-6 win over the Spartans behind a balanced attack and stingy defense.
In the Bantam division, the Lions delivered a commanding performance in a 37-0 shutout over the Vipers, controlling the game from start to finish on both sides of the ball. The final game of the day featured a thrilling shootout between the Colts and the Commanders, with the Colts emerging victorious in a high-scoring 44-36 battle.
With standout performances across all four games, Sunday’s contests highlighted the growing talent and competitive spirit within the Sault Minor Football League.
