After their biggest loss of their 2022 – 2023 season, Sault Ste Marie’s Soo U18 AAA Greyhound hockey program in conjunction with the Great North U18 League (GNU18L) announced the Team NOHA roster, comprised of 2007 born players who have been selected to participate at the 2023 OHL Cup. The Soo U18 Greyhounds have nine of their players were selected to the Team NOHA roster with five forwards, three defenseman, along with one goaltender.
Soo U18 Greyhound goaltending coach Brian Kment has also been selected to the 2023 OHL Cup coaching staff.
The 2023 OHL Cup to be held from March 28 to April 3, 2023, at the Scotiabank Pond in Mississauga.
Soo U18 Greyhound coach Jamie Henderson told Saultsports that “this 07 group had a tremendous season they are very committed and all are well deserving. The OHL cup is a special week for these u16 players with all the OHL staff in attendance it’s a great opportunity to showcase their talents. More importantly I think for our 9 players is an opportunity to compete against fellow 07 players after spending all season playing teams with mostly 06 and even 05 players.”
