Goaltender – Nick Marson

Soo U18 Greyhounds coach Jamie Henderson told Saultsports that “Friday’s win was a strong effort we had a great individual effort from Lincoln Moore and the team really played well despite missing four key players who didn’t make the trip. Last night we were simply out worked by the U16 Wolves as the game stayed close you could see their confidence growing. We just spent too much time in our own zone, and they really wore us down we just didn’t have any jump in the third. Today we got back to our structure and played really hard for Soo U15 Greyhound affiliate goaltender Nick Marson who made 23 saves. When we needed a save, he was there for us it was fun to see the guys excited for him.”

“Our D corps really stepped up today after a little bit of a tough night so that was good to see. It’s been a tough stretch since the lockdown lifted with eight straight road games so to come away with seven wins is a credit to the young men it certainly hasn’t been easy with so much travel,” added Henderson.

The Soo U18 Greyhounds will now return home for the first time after playing eight games on the road when they hit the ice for back to back weekend matchups on March 4th and 5th against the visiting Sudbury U18 Nickel Capitals with 7:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m starts.
