Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) is excited to welcome Canadian figure skater Kaetlyn Osmond this weekend, April 1, 2023.
Kaetlyn is a 3x Canadian Champion, 3x Olympic medalist and she’s also won 2 World Champion medals including Gold in 2018. Kaetlyn will work with figure skaters on stroking, edges, spins, jumps and body movement.
The seminar also features off ice sessions with Rebekah Dixon, a Mind-Body Performance Coach joining via zoom from New Brunswick, and Mitchel Hopf a Dance instructor from Sault Ste. Marie.
“I’m excited to work with a professional skater. I hope they will be able to give me some advice on improving my spin techniques and my flying camel. The day offers us a lot to learn”, said LSFSC figure skater Erin Bagg.
“This is going to be an experience the figure skaters will never forget. They will get to learn firsthand from one of Canada’s most accomplished figure skaters, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime. With the addition of Rebekah Dixon and Mitchel Hopf to compliment the seminar, the athletes are going to take away a lot of information that they can use to help achieve their goals”, said LSFSC Head Coach Kerry Bain.
