Emily Arbour, a Senior figure skater, with the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) competed over the January 26th to 28th weekend in LaSalle, Ontario at the Skate Ontario Provincial qualifying competition.

Emily is vying to qualify for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships, which will be held March 22-24, 2024 in Brampton, Ontario. Emily placed 4 th in Star 5 O13, 9th in Star 7 O12 and 8th in Star 7 Artistic.

“I’m very proud of Emily, she competed well against others in her category. As it stands, Emily is in a good position to qualify for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships”, said LSFSC Head Coach, Kerry Bain.

The qualifying process for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships is rigorous, with a limited number of spots for specific events. Skate Ontario uses a ranking system to determine who will qualify for Provincials. The Lake Superior Figure Skating Club has always been well represented at Provincials.
