Lake Superior Figure Skating Club Adult figure skater, Dr. Jonathan Keuhl recently competed at the 2022 ISU International Adult Figure Skating Competition in Ottawa September 21-24, 2022.
The event is a qualifier for the 2023 Adult Figure Skating Championship.
Dr. Keuhl worked hard all summer polishing his two programs, Silver Men’s Free Skate II and Silver Men’s Artistic II, and brought home two Gold medals. The event brought over 175 adult skaters from around the world. 1988 Olympic silver medallist Elizabeth Manley and 1960 Olympic bronze medallist Donald Jackson attended the event as ambassadors.
Adult figure skating is growing in popularity and more and more clubs are offering recreational, test and competitive opportunities to this segment of the population.
