Korah Sweeps the Sheets, Colts Crown 2026 City Champions and Headed to NOSSA

On Tuesday, February 17th, the 2026 Sault Ste. Marie Boys and Girls High School City Curling Championships were contested at the YNCU Curling Centre, bringing together the city’s top school curlers for a full day of high-level competition, tight matches, and championship drama.

In the quarterfinal round, the action began with competitive quarterfinal matchups across both divisions.

Boys Quarterfinals saw Superior Heights Steelhawks edge the White Pines Wolverines in a tight 7–6 contest, while Korah Colts B delivered a commanding 9–1 win over Korah Colts A, setting up an all-Korah storyline that would continue throughout the day.

On the Girls side, Korah Colts opened with a decisive 13–4 victory over Superior Heights Steelhawks B. St. Mary’s Knights followed with a strong performance of their own, defeating Superior Heights Steelhawks C by a 9–6 score.

In the Boys Semifinal, Korah Colts A bounced back with a composed and controlled 7–4 win over the Superior Heights Steelhawks, earning a spot in the city final.

The Girls Semifinal featured a matchup between Superior Heights Steelhawks C and Korah Colts, with Korah continuing their dominant run, securing a 9–5 victory to advance.

The Boys City Final delivered the most dramatic finish of the day, as Korah Colts A and Korah Colts B battled through regulation and into an extra end. Korah Colts A ultimately prevailed 6–5, sealing the city title in thrilling fashion.

The Girls City Final was all Korah from start to finish. Korah Colts delivered a flawless performance, shutting out St. Mary’s Knights 10–0 to claim the girls’ city championship.
