Korah Colts Power Past Wolverines in Convincing Win at the John Rhodes Centre

On Wednesday, November 5th, the Korah Colts hit the ice at the John Rhodes Centre for a Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League matchup and skated away with a dominant performance, defeating the White Pines Wolverines in a game that saw Korah’s offense firing on all cylinders.

The Colts set the tone early in the first period, striking three times to take full control of the contest. Tyler Lang opened the scoring at 10:56 on the powerplay with his second goal of the season, assisted by Deago Campagna and Hayden Joseph. Minutes later, Koen Manchulenko added to the lead at 6:26, netting his third of the year with helpers from Tyler Neveau and Jackson Burrows. Deago Campagna then capped off a strong first period for Korah, scoring his second of the season at 3:17 off a feed from Bodie Belair.

After a scoreless second period, the Colts came out strong once again in the third. Lang struck for his second of the night — unassisted — just over five minutes in. Manchulenko followed up with his fourth of the year at 9:07, assisted by Neveau and Ryan Johnson, to make it 5–0. The Wolverines responded shortly after, as Arthur Vincent scored his first of the season at 8:18, assisted by Saku Tuomi and Brandon Boissoneau. Less than two minutes later, White Pines added another when Owen Sanderson tallied his third of the season from Easton Foster and Ethan Marsh.

However, the Colts quickly regained momentum. Bodie Belair made it 6–2 with his second of the season at 5:12, assisted by Burrows and Preston Miller. Ryan Johnson then closed out the scoring at 2:37 with his first of the year, set up once again by Neveau and Miller, sealing a commanding victory for the Colts.

Between the pipes, Nick Pezzutto stood tall for Korah, while Ben Potter battled hard in goal for the Wolverines.

Next up, the Colts return to action on Sunday, November 9th, for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop against the CASS Huskies. The Wolverines will look to bounce back later that evening when they face the St. Mary’s Knights at 7:00 p.m.
